Primer
for Copyrights and Trade/Service Marks
Accurate
Information: Every attempt has been made to insure
the information presented is accurate in representation and
detail. However, mistakes do occur and thus we can not be held
responsible for them. If you see something that may be out of
place or if you suspect an error, you should contact the
Webmaster.
Be sure to tell the Webmaster what page you were on (click your
right mouse button and select "Properties" which will
bring up a screen with the page address. You may block the
address and copy it to your E-mail message. Tell the Webmaster
what you think is incorrect providing as much detail as possible.
The Webmaster will forward your commentary to the appropriate
person who will investigate the problem and issue a correction if
necessary.
Photography:
Most all photography is done by Dragon Technology Consultants Corp. Where it differs, the credit will be stated
within the photo. Place your mouse cursor on the
photo and within a few seconds the credit will appear.
Photography
is taken with high resolution digital professional
camera equipment and then sized for the site. Any
attempt to download and print a decent photo will result
in pixilation or a high grainy print. Also, doing
so may infringe on several trademarks and copyrights
depending on what you do with that imaging. All
you need to do is ask the webmaster for permission and
if there are any costs involved. If you don't ask
and you get caught, do not be surprised if the webmaster
comes down pretty hard on you the first time.
Basically, the only warning you get for plagiarizing any
work is what you see here.
The
same holds true if you purchase a photo and then go to
Meijer's or someplace like that and ask them to
reproduce it for you over and over (without the original
image produced by the camera). You can't do that
legally and they would be in serious trouble along with
you for what is known as Copyright infringement.
You might own the photo because you purchased it though
you do not own the right to have it reproduced else
where unless you have the original image the camera made
(the image is available for an extra fee). All
photography is Copyrighted by Dragon Technology Consultants Corp
Our reproduction costs are reasonable and, in most
cases, less then Meijer's or anyone else that does that
stuff legitimately.
Extra
Fee: Why an extra fee for the original
image? Well because it generally cannot be emailed
because of its size. So it has to be burned to a
CD and that is why there is an extra charge.
Matter of fact, if would like a CD of all the images we
took of you, it is available for $5 and then you can do
with it as you want. A typical image size is
between 1 million and 4 million bytes in compressed
format. Uncompressed it can be as much as 25
million bytes. What you see on the site is a pic
that was scaled from 2560x1920 pixels down to as low as 200x200
pixels.
